It’s been very cold here in the last few days, but unfortunately the snow hasn’t reached us yet. However, it should snow soon, according to the weather forecast.
I’ve really enjoyed my time so far, and feel very comfortable, with my host mum and my host company. I think the opportunity to spend a semester abroad is so great! I’ve already met so many new people, gained new experiences and, of course improved my English 😊
Christmas time is the most stressful time of the year at my workplace in the Shelbourne hotel. I’m based in the HR office and can really feel the hustle and bustle that’s happening on the floor. Last week, the Christmas tree was officially lit up and the festive decorations can now be seen throughout the hotel. The atmosphere is truly magical, and it’s great to see everyone working together to make this the best time of the year.
The days are getting even more and more festive here in Dublin. Grafton Street and Henry Street are full of lights and decorations, bringing out the Christmas spirit. There are loads of great shops that are perfect for Christmas shopping.
Some of us will go home for Christmas and some of us will stay here and enjoy the holiday season in Dublin. I will be travelling home and am already looking forward to seeing my family again.»
