I am more than halfway through my stay in Ireland now and I feel comfortable in my job and my homestay. I live in Knocklyon in the south of Dublin. My host parents are so lovely. I work at Everest Language School in the center of Dublin. My colleagues at work are all very friendly, helpful and we all have a good relationship with each other.
Last weekend the clocks went back and winter is approaching in Ireland. It gets dark very early. Nevertheless, the weather is still very stable. In the morning it is freezing but during the day you can walk around in a pullover.
Since it is Halloween, the houses are decorated with scary things like skeletons, spider webs, witches and so on. Also, my workplace is decorated with pumpkins made by the students. On the 31st of October we had a Halloween costume contest, so everyone dressed up no matter whether it was a student, a teacher or a staff member. Everyone wore a costume or at least some make-up scars on their face.
