Another week in Dublin has passed and the start of our internship is getting closer and closer. We’ve all been able to visibly improve our English through the English courses we’re attending.
At the beginning of this week, the weather was very rainy and windy. Luckily, the weather improved towards the weekend. For us, this meant that we were able to enjoy our weekend even more because of the beautiful weather.
We’ve now spent three weeks in Dublin. Dublin is a huge city and there’s a lot to see. We’ve only seen a small part of Dublin, so we decided to visit a few places this weekend.
There is a small lane in the center of Dublin called “the love lane”. It's a lane with many different artworks and little sayings. The colorful street is a bit hidden between some restaurants and stores, but it wasn't particularly hard to find. I had imagined the lane to be bigger, but I still liked it with all the different artworks and it's worth a quick look.
Another place we wanted to visit was St. Stephens Green, a public park also in the center of Dublin. The park is right next to the Grafton Street shopping area and there were many people there at the weekend. As I sat in the park, I noticed that there were lots of pigeons and if you are lucky, you can even see a squirrel. In St. Stephens Green Park there are lots of colorful flowers, statues and a small river running through the park. It's a beautiful and peaceful place that is worth a visit.
