My name is Noelia, I’m 16 years old and I’m currently living in Coolock, in the north of Dublin.

The first month of our exchange is now behind us, and so is our time at school in Ireland. We had a great time at the ISI Language School. Not only the lessons, but also the after-class activities gave us good opportunities to make friends and get to know Dublin a little bit better. In class we spent most of our time preparing for the Cambridge exams, but the way we did it was very varied. We visited museums and watched movies to write about afterwards. In the past month we have settled in well with the host families and all the excitement has died down.

The restaurants we have eaten in over the last few weeks are all highly recommendable. For example, Umi Falafel, Mongolian Barbeque or Acropolis Taverna, a Greek restaurant. Also, Eddie Rockets, where the focus is more on the decor and design of the restaurant, but the food was also very good.

Today is the day we start our internship. That makes everything a little more nerve-racking again. New situations with new people - we have been preparing for all of this over the past month…
