The company is active in the trust and insurance sector. Treverso AG employs eight members of staff. We work together with the Basler insurance company. I expect to work in different departments like VAT, Accounting, Insurance and Tax declaration. I have learnt how to sort the post and write mails.
A typical day starts at 7:30 am in the morning. When I arrive, I have to carry out my daily tasks. First of all, I have to start the computers and open all windows. After that I have to open all doors and turn on the lights. Following that, I have to clean and prepare the coffee machine by changing the water and cleaning up the coffee mugs. After that my supervisor assigns various tasks which change from day to day, whether it be accounting, creating new folders etc.
We have office opening hours from 8 am – 12 am and 13:30 pm – 17 pm. During the opening time I have to greet the clients and ask how I can assist them. Should their waiting time be long, I usually offer them coffee, tea or water. In addition, I have to answer the calls and make notes for my supervisor or I have to redirect several calls. Doing the post is also a part of my daily tasks. We have a kind of post office near the meeting room, where I have to sort the post for the various clients. We have a list with clients, which we are forbitten to open. We always have to stamp the post and open the rest. At the end of the week we have to sent them out to our clients. Occasionally I have some difficulties greeting the clients owing to the fact that I may not speak their language. From a personal point of view, I would say the most interesting aspect is that it is all quite diversified and every day offers a different challenge.»
