LakeSideBau is a real estate company and is the representative of Schwörer Haus in Central Switzerland. My expectations of my internship are that I can learn a lot in the different areas, be it on the phone or via the construction industry etc. and that I can develop myself further. I have already been able to learn a lot in the first few weeks. Already on the first day I was able to use the telephone and step by step I have become familiar with work processes. My tasks after four weeks include processing the mail, checking and recording invoices, recording reports and processing e-mails and keeping the lounge clean.
I would like to give you an idea of how I spend a typical working day. My day usually starts at 8 o'clock. The first thing I do is process the e-mails and check if an employee needs a hotel what I then have to book. Should a hotel be required, I use the commission number to find out where the building is. Then I look up ‘maymaps’ for a suitable hotel or a BnB that fits our budget. Once I have found a suitable hotel, I reserve the number of rooms I need and write a reservation confirmation to the hotel and send the employee the address of the hotel.
A further task of mine is to check and record the invoices. If the invoice matches the reservation, I pass it on to my boss. As soon as the bills are paid, I can enter the bills in ‘easywork’. In easywork I can also enter new addresses, for example of new customers or partners and the work reports of employees. In the work reports, the employees record the exact hours where and how long they have worked on the construction site. In addition, I process the receipts where the employees send us their work clothes or work material, for example. I can keep the receipts until the end of the month and at the end of the month I can add up the amounts in francs and in euros and submit them to the accountant.»
