«My name is Flavia and I am in my second year of my apprenticeship. Unfortunately, due to covid-19 I could not spend half a year abroad, in consequence I am sitting a language course at FREI’S Schulen preparing me and my classmates for the C1 Business Higher Exam in November 2020.

I am currently working at Axetris AG, a company of the Leister group. The company produces highly technical products such as infrared sources, mass flow devices, laser gas detectors and micro-optics.

At the moment I am working in Sales Administration but later on in my apprenticeship I will be able to go to different departments for usually anything from a week to a month. In addition to that, I can also go to almost any other department, like IT, for a day or two depending on my interests. I might even get the opportunity to go to the cleanroom for a day.

I am involved in most product lines and am able to confirm orders and send out invoices and shipment advices. Additionally, I distribute the mail and correspond with customers via telephone and email. I have learnt a lot already and it never gets boring because I enjoy working with my current team in our little office.»
